Shelf Showdown

Your pile · your mood · one winner

Too many books.
Let them fight it out.

Paste the books you keep meaning to read, with their back-cover blurbs. Say what you are in the mood for and which tropes are hard nos. The shelf, the trope prescan and the bracket are free, in your browser. A blurb read and a referee for close calls are one click further.

Sample titles, authors and blurbs are made up for this page.

1 The pile

One book per block: a title line (Title by Author), then its blurb, then a blank line. Up to 16 books. A CSV export with a Title column works too - add blurbs under each title for a real read.

    2 Tonight I want

The craving is free text. Tap a trope once for want, twice for hard no, a third time to clear it.

    3 The bracket

Seeded from the free prescan. Tap a book in a matchup to send it through. A blurb read re-seeds it.

      4 Read and referee

Two metered steps over the same pile. The blurb read tags every book; the referee settles one matchup.
